Jay and Valerie started the Prairie Haven Events venture over 8 years ago.  Their tenacity and determination breathes through every square inch of this magnificent entertainment facility.  What began with the intent of being a barrage for their bus, became a world class wedding and events center.

During the construction period, Jay and Valerie overcame a number of obstacles, including a pandemic, soaring materials prices, Jay battling cancer twice and a number of challenges one would expect when constructing a one-of-a-kind dome facility the size of Prairie Haven.

As if the construction challenges weren’t enough, Jay and Valerie also did the construction themselves rather than outsourcing to subcontractors.  The attention to detail throughout the facility is amazing and most of the trim and fixtures are custom-made wood.
